Delivery Information

We deliver throughout the working week, to ensure your goods arrive in a timely manner.

Before your order leaves us…

All of our sweeties are prepared, personalised and packaged in the gifting format you have selected. We wrap them up to keep them safe and send the goods in a brown outer box to the delivery details supplied to us at point of purchase.

We always want to make sure you are happy with your treats, so if for any reason you aren't please just drop a note to and we will sort the issue out for you immediately. Unfortunately, anything that’s personalised or made to your specific requirements cannot be resold and is therefore non-cancellable and non-returnable.
Next Day deliveries must be placed by 12pm on the day before the delivery option. This is a Royal Mail Next Day Delivery service and therefore applies only to working days, if you order on a Friday you will receive your item on a Monday, as long as it’s not a bank holiday Monday of course.

Delivery Charges

Royal Mail is our choice of carrier, but large bulk orders will require a signature, and may be shipped by an alternative courier company. We love Royal Mail and find that almost all parcels will arrive the next day. Your delivery date, however, cannot be guaranteed by us and any issues with delivery through Royal Mail services will need to be taken up with them direct (and by us of course!). We can supply the tracking details for your parcel in any instances where there has been a delay.

Please note that your parcel can be delivered between 9am and 8pm on the delivery date and we unfortunately are unable to control the time of the delivery, only the day it is delivered on. Orders placed on a Friday (after 1pm), Saturday or Sunday will processed on the Monday after. Our Letterbox Treats are not currently available on a next day service. The two available delivery options are a next day delivery service and the FREE delivery that we offer is Royal Mail 48, with both options we will dispatch all orders the next working day.

Please note we do not currently deliver 'Pick & Mix orders' to the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, offshore islands (including Scottish) Scottish Highlands or Isle of Wight.

Letterbox Treats

When ordering our Letterbox Treats, please note that processing times can vary. We recommend placing your order before 11.59pm on Thursday if you wish to receive them as soon as possible.

The expected delivery date for your Letterbox Treats will be shown on the Basket page. If you wish to request delivery on a later date (for instance, if you’re sending the Letterbox Treats as a birthday present and you’d like them to arrive on the correct date), you can specify your preferred delivery date during checkout.

Return and Refund Policy

Thanks for shopping at Sweets in the City If you don't receive the item that you ordered or the item you have received has been damaged in transit, we're here to help.


We do not accept returns of any personalised products. If 7 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds (If Applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or Missing Refunds (If Applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at

Exchanges (If Applicable)
